Our Story

Mr. Guy Turcotte

Guy Turcotte is Chairman, President and CEO, and majority investor of Stone Creek Properties Inc. His overriding concern is to ensure that every action taken at Stone Creek’s resorts is in harmony with and inspired by the land itself.

“We are committed to the vision of creating exceptional lifestyles for our customers in a club-like setting,” explains Turcotte. “Our idea is to create world-class resorts in the most beautiful natural surroundings. It allows us the privileged opportunity to combine our passion for golf and other recreational pursuits with our love of nature.”

In the late 1980’s, a remarkable piece of land was discovered on the sunny side of the Bow Valley between Calgary and Banff, Alberta. Recognizing a never-to-be repeated opportunity, Guy and three partners acquired these 600 acres. In 1993 that property subsequently became Silvertip Golf Resort, and the company name, inspired by an ancient creek bed on the slope, became Stone Creek Properties.

In 1998, the company discovered a second property, one that met the same spectacular conditions as Silvertip, and one that, perhaps, is even rarer on the earth. Today that place, inspired by the vision of the eagle which is sacred to the Shuswap people, is known as Eagle Ranch. Located in Invermere, British Columbia, Eagle Ranch is a four-season golf resort perched atop a spectacular bluff overlooking the magnificent Columbia River and sparkling waters of Lake Windermere.

Stone Creek is, in many ways, developing and transforming alongside the two magnificent properties it holds in its charge. Both began as raw land – an unusual circumstance in our overbuilt time. These properties presented themselves as a magical synthesis of water, mountains, wildlife, and vegetation in two unspoiled tracts in the Canadian West. Stone Creek, like its flagship properties, is an organic combination of elements that are just as remarkable – including decades of real estate development and venture capital prowess that form a professional bedrock upon which the company builds and grows.

Eagle Ranch Clubhouse

Our new clubhouse is located on the bluffs near the 9th and 18th holes, boasting breathtaking views of the Columbia River and Lake Windermere. Designed to convey the grandeur of traditional ranch-style architecture, the clubhouse features an attractive blend of natural materials. Inside, vaulted ceilings and an open design contribute to a spacious ambiance. We have meeting room space for small groups, as well as an expanded Golf Shop, and full-service dining room and lounge. Ample dining and patio space make the clubhouse the perfect place to relax after your round or to book your company, group or wedding function. Click here to view the clubhouse.
